Chapel Hill home part 1

We designed a home for a family in Chapel Hill, NC last year.  We had a great time working with our client (you have to love  great client) and Dixon Kirby the architect/builder.  I will break this home up into a few posts.  This first post includes the foyer, dining room, gallery, and ,my favorite, the music room.  We loved the mix of traditional and modern in this home designed for a great family.  You can imagine the music room with one of the children taking piano lessons or a chic cocktail party.  That is what is why we love this house so much.  It’s design straddles the line of elegance and livability.  Take a look for yourself on our blog or pick up a copy of Southern Home magazine where the house is featured in their spring issue!  Watch for the follow up posts on this home!

ATL Market Favorites & Tracery Book Signing with J Douglas Living!

Hello Friends!

As promised, Paige and I are sharing our favorites from Atlanta market with you. You’ll be seeing most of these items in their new home here at Tracery very soon… and others just caught our eye!

Market made for a great trip to Atlanta, as always. In addition to finding great new stuff, lots of familiar faces were seen and fun nights out on the town were had. We also got to spend some time with our friends at J Douglas who were nice enough to host a book signing for Tracery!

Enjoy!

1929-ish Tudor Home Renovation Revisited

Hi all!  We are excited that the Tracery book is available!  So I have been going through projects that we have loved designing over the last 11 years in business.  This is one of my all time favs.  We had the house reshot for the book by Jean Allsopp and styled by Lynn Nesmith.  I wanted to share a few photos of the home today.  We worked on the project with the fabulous architects at Dungan Nequette Architects.  Enjoy a look around the living room, foyer, and dining room in this home…
