Congratulations to Sarah, Kathleen Witzel & John Wittenstrom on winning our fun giveaway! Below are their sweet summertime memories….

‘This has been my best summer to date! Our baby is six months old now, so we have had a great one with her! I would say our best memory was going to the beach for the fourth with great friends and our kids Comment by Sarah ‘

‘Without a doubt, my favorite 2012 summer memory was my son’s wedding!! So many wonderful family memories were made that day!! I also have to say, however, that as a newbie to the blog world, I have enjoyed relaxing while catching up on the Tracery blog. Love your inspirational words!! Thanks so much!!Comment by Kathleen Witzel’

{2012 Southern Living Idea House} through our eyes, Mudroom-Laundry-Keeping Room

We love this framed piece from Old Try titled ‘The Line’. It’s the coordinates for the Mason Dixon Line.

Once again-enjoy a glimpse of the 2012 Southern Living Idea house through us!  We hope you all get to enjoy the shots of little details that may not have made it into the magazine. Happy Hump Day!

We love chalkboard paint & this laundry room is the perfect spot to utilize it!

The Metal Hooks from Ballard Designs create a great spot in the back hall for dumping your tote bags & hat collection.

{2012 Southern Living Idea House} through our eyes, kitchen & dining

Happy Monday everyone! Bess here with another ‘iPhone photo glimpse’ of the 2012 Southern Living Idea House in Senoia, Georgia. Below are a few of our personal shots of the Kitchen & Dining Rooms.

We loved the framed vintage map of Georgia hung just above two gingham aprons. The combination makes this space feel more lived in.

A combination of vintage Southern Living cook books, old rolling pins and various pieces of enamel & ceramic finds add a more collected feel to the open shelving. We love to use found pieces that give a space character.

And a quick shot of the dining room with all of the chairs in place. All of these pieces can be found at Ballard Designs!

{in our shop} bring the indoors out!

That’s right-those two chairs you see above are OUTDOOR chairs! Everything about them is designed to be outside: the fabric, the cushions, the frame & even the casters. These are from Lee Industries, a line that is always on our floor & in our projects. They have a few outdoor fabrics & a variety of styles for you to choose from. This pair of chairs is slipped covered and the over-sized casters makes them a breeze to wheel in & out of the shop each day! These chairs retail at $1,955.00 each. If you would like more information feel free to call our Rosemary Beach shop at 850.231.6755.

{2012 Southern Living Idea House} through our eyes, Living Room

Bess here again to share another ‘behind the scenes’ look at the Southern Living Idea House. For all of you who have the publication-you did get to see the majority of the Living Room. What you don’t realize about homes that are published is that a certain area can have one of the most amazing things/items/collections in the entire space, but if the photographer can’t get a good shot of it then it will not be published. There is an amazing piece by artist Courtney J. Garrett  behind the sofa that fell into that category & we had to share it regardless ( image below).  The piece on the mantel of the old house is Courtney’s as well.
