A home should welcome it’s occupants as well as its visitors. The first impression of a home hints at what is beyond. Here are a few of our favorites entries we have designed over the years.
Until next time.

Here is the second post of our new before and after series. Remember the 2012 Southern Living Idea House we designed? I just received some of the before photos from our friends over at Historical Concepts. Historical Concepts was the architect for this renovation addition along with John Bynum Homes. This project has so many moments it will have to have a second post. Here are a few of my favorite moments in the project.

We designed a home for a family in Chapel Hill, NC last year. We had a great time working with our client (you have to love great client) and Dixon Kirby the architect/builder. I will break this home up into a few posts. This first post includes the foyer, dining room, gallery, and ,my favorite, the music room. We loved the mix of traditional and modern in this home designed for a great family. You can imagine the music room with one of the children taking piano lessons or a chic cocktail party. That is what is why we love this house so much. It’s design straddles the line of elegance and livability. Take a look for yourself on our blog or pick up a copy of Southern Home magazine where the house is featured in their spring issue! Watch for the follow up posts on this home!

We have been asked over time to furnish several homes at Alys Beach. Do you know Alys Beach? If not check it out! It is right next door to our Rosemary Beach Studio. All of the homes in Alys Beach are beautiful homes that are all wrapped in white stucco. So when we went to visit this home we decided to layer the neutral pallette with color. In the living, dining, and stair we used this beautiful coral color mixed with aqua. It is sophisticated and beachy. Here are a few of the photos of the living, dining, and stairs at this home. Have a great week!
