A Seagrove Kitchen

One thing us girls at Tracery L.O.V.E is a great kitchen.  This is a kitchen we worked on last year during a renovation.  The home is located in Old Seagrove (around the corner from my own home.  It was fun to work on a project where I could ride my bike to site visits!  So take a look around at this kitchen…

Our Five Favorite Things {Paige & Pinterest}

Saving the best for last we bring you our principal designer, Paige Schnell’s five favorite things. Hope everyone has enjoyed a peek at some of our most guilty pleasures in life and reminded you to enjoy your’s a little more!

{ Paige }

1. A stack of design magazines & a beach chair. Photo by Lynn Nesmith.

2. Sunsets at Bud & Alley's. Watching sunset is a tradition of many locals here on 30A & it's one I love.

3. I may have a slight problem. I love scarves. These are just a few I have. Some are new & some are vintage. I love adding these to simple pieces like a white shirt & jeans.

4. Barbara Cosgrove Lam Shades. For a small up charge the shades can be painted any color from Benjamin Moore. This image is from the 2012 Southern Living Idea House where we used them in orange.

4. {continued} In Mountain Brook, Alabama we used subtle grays & whites throughout the home. The custom muted gray lamp shades in the foyer were the perfect touch.

5. Our family dog Lucy. I love at the end of the day walking in the door to her wagging tail. She is always happy to see me. She loves to go on walks through Seagrove Beach & Seaside. We rescued her almost 4 years ago & now we couldnt imagine her not being around.

This year we ALL have one ‘favorite thing’ in common: Pinterest! Feel free to use the links below to keep an eye on Tracery Interiors as well as all of us on our most guilty of pleasures….

Silver bells…

…..silver wreaths, mercury glass and bright twinkly lights!  It’s a glamor girls’ Christmas dream in Seagrove Beach, FL this year.  Paige, Kristina & me {hi-it’s Bess!} had a great time playing Santa’s helpers last week.  We cranked up my favorite Pandora Christmas station, Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You,’ and worked a little holiday magic.

The wreaths are made of live magnolia leaves that were painted silver, just like the red wreath on the front of our Rosemary Beach shop.  No craft time here-we ordered the wreaths as is.  I’m sure I would have a new pair of ‘silver’ flats if we had opted to paint them ourselves 🙂

The tree contains a mixture of ornaments from Tracery and a few of our other favorite retailers {Anthropologie & Restoration Hardware to name a few}.  At night the white twinkly lights hit everything just right and man does this tree SPARKLE!

Hope everyone is having  a great week &  Happy Holidays,

shoes and more

We just finished designing a renovation for a very talented fashion designer.  Stephanie is a friend and a very talented one at that!  Have you ever been to Dejavu in Seaside?  If not visit it online here.  It is her shop.  She also has an awesome clothing line Judith March.  Click on location near you and find a shop in your area with her really cute clothes.  Anyway…we just finished  the renovation it was a really fun project.  Here is a glimpse at her closet.  We will have more photos soon.

celebrating independence day

What a holiday weekend this was! We all had such a wonderful time in our various locations celebrating with family & friends. I think some of us need a little vacation to recover from this past weekend. Hope you enjoy these snapshots from everyone here at Tracery….

Some of us were on boats & some of us were on floats. We ate cobblers, crawfish & enough burgers to last a lifetime. We barbecued and giggled with rosy-cheeked babies. Some of us enjoyed the view of sandy beaches and ocean breezes while others cruised down back country roads with the wind in their hair. We watched parades, took a few much-needed naps & of course we all enjoyed  amazing fireworks!

What was your favorite memory from this year’s Independence Day celebration?

Under construction in Seagrove

Hi!  Paige here.  AK and I are working on a renovation in Seagrove Beach.  It is for a young couple, their son, and their 3 dogs.  I went by this morning to check on the progress and wanted to show all of you a couple photos.

The kitchen is under construction. We designed new cabinets and are using soapstone countertops.

This piece will be used in one of the bathrooms downstairs. It is going to be beautiful!

We have a pair these slipcovered in grey velvet for the living room... they are going to be yummy!

The floors are oak with a whitewash. LOVE these floors!

We can not wait to see the house come together!  It is going to be great! We will share more photos soon.

Have a great weekend!
