Here is the second post of our new before and after series. Remember the 2012 Southern Living Idea House we designed? I just received some of the before photos from our friends over at Historical Concepts. Historical Concepts was the architect for this renovation addition along with John Bynum Homes. This project has so many moments it will have to have a second post. Here are a few of my favorite moments in the project.

Last Thursday Doug and I headed out to Senoia, Georgia(south of Atlanta) for the kick off meeting for the 2012 Southern Living Idea House. We designed the 2009 Southern Living Idea House and we were honored to be selected to design the 2012 house. The architect is Historical Concepts for this renovation/addition to this 1830’s farmhouse. Frank from the Southern Living team met us at the house… This is Frank.
The team met to check out the progress and discuss the look and feel of the home. The house has such great old wood and other details. Here are a few photos from our visit to the
The existing wood floors are going to be beautiful! (yes doug caught my cowboy boot in the photo)
Here are a few more photos of the interior.
Did I mention a camera crew followed us around? It was from Marvin Windows…. They were there filming all of us as part of their new advertising campaign.
We can’t wait to dig into this project. It is going to be lots of fun. We have some really great ideas for this idea house. We will keep you all updated on the progress!
Now off to a busy week. We are installing the house at Lake Martin we have been working on!
