Once again-enjoy a glimpse of the 2012 Southern Living Idea house through us! We hope you all get to enjoy the shots of little details that may not have made it into the magazine. Happy Hump Day!
Bess here again to share another ‘behind the scenes’ look at the Southern Living Idea House. For all of you who have the publication-you did get to see the majority of the Living Room. What you don’t realize about homes that are published is that a certain area can have one of the most amazing things/items/collections in the entire space, but if the photographer can’t get a good shot of it then it will not be published. There is an amazing piece by artist Courtney J. Garrett behind the sofa that fell into that category & we had to share it regardless ( image below). The piece on the mantel of the old house is Courtney’s as well.
Hi Everyone, Bess here to give you a few glimpse of the Southern Living Idea House that you won’t see in the magazine. We spent so much time putting together every little detail that we want to make sure you get to enjoy them as well. To start I’ll share a bedroom that only made it into the resource guide, not the magazine itself, Bedroom 3. This bedroom is located off of the back of the house above the garage. It has its own bathroom as well.
Hope everyone has a great Monday!
Enjoy the next piece to our puzzle-plumbing! It was so nice to get to work with Kohler who’s plumbing we have used in the majority of our projects here at Tracery. They were a great sponsor & had the perfect pieces to compliment the look & feel of this farmhouse renovation. The plumbing in the 2012 Southern Living Idea House in Senoia, Ga. is classic and timeless. Each of these pieces will stand the test of time just as this c. 1830’s home has. Let’s hear from you-what would you like a glimpse of next?
Bess here to give you a little glimpse of the lighting we used throughout this year’s Southern Living Idea House in Senoia, Ga. We had amazing sponsors who’s lighting really helped revive this historic farmhouse. This was a great opportunity to showcase a few of our favorite fixtures that we haven’t had an opportunity to work with yet and at the same time we were able to utilize some of our own tried & true ‘classics’ that we have worked with in past projects. Soon you will all be able to enjoy all of our little ‘clues’ together in one glossy spread!
More to come!
We are sooooo excited about the 2012 Southern Living Idea House which is open to the public now for tours. Visit Southern Living’s website for more info on tour dates and time. The house will be featured in the August issue of the Southern Living magazine. We will let you know when it is released. Here a few detail shots from around the house. We can’t wait for you to see the entire house.
These are our pillows that are made from our custom line of fabric. The pillow on the right is a mitered stripe fabric named fluting color driftwood. In the photo you can see a peak at the white chesterfield sofa.
Theseare custom shadow boxes we designed to display the collection of antique keys we found while out looking for vintage and antique pieces for the home.
He is just to cute for words. I think he needs a name…. maybe Ned.
Now for looking back….
In 2009 we designed the Idea House for Southern Living in Cinnamon Shore which is located in Port Aransas, Texas. We had a great time and loved working with the Southern Living team so we were excited to come back in 2012. In case you weren’t following us back then here are a few of our favorite shots from the 2009 Southern Living Idea House.
We cant’ wait to share more from this year’s idea house later this month. We hope you had a great 4th of July!
