Like I said, we’ve been busy at Tracery! Here’s a little sneak peek into what we’ve been up to this week… We had a photo shoot in the shop and at Paige’s house with our good friends Jean Allsopp, (our photographer), and Lynn Neismith. Here are some shots of the action!
Murphy (AK’s dog) came to work at the studio.. She is a great designer… Maybe she could come out with her own line of dog beds with designer fabrics… Hmmm… Anyway… She was so cute we had to share.
Obviously Murphy is loving cobalt blue right now! And so do we!
Sooo… Want see what we’ve been up to?
We went to visit one of our clients and her new house. It is going to be a great project in a historic home.
Another shot of the old doors in the home.
We worked in selections for a new project in Texas.
Working on work orders for our seamstresses.
Watched a few sunsets.
I visited my dad at the family farm during peanut harvest.
Went antique shopping.
I bought this painting for my bedroom from the great local artist Allison Wickey.
More antique shopping.
Listened to music.
Now it is time to plan Thanksgiving! I LOVE Thanksgiving. It is my favorite holiday.
Well… That is what has been going on around here.
Wow…. How close is summer? Pretty close in our book. We are planning our summer and we are looking for a summer intern in our Rosemary Beach shop/studio. (the position has been filled in Mountain Brook). If you are interested please email(no phone calls) your resume to email@example.com
The position begins in mid to late May and runs through August (when school begins).
And for a little Monday feel good. Here are a few things that we have seen lately that we are using in our designs or that we just think is cool.
Thanks to the continued growth and popularity of our shops, we are now hiring for retail positions at both our Rosemary Beach, Florida and Mountain Brook, Alabama locations. The positions we are looking to fill are retail spots, but would include some assistant duties supporting our design staff and the general operation of our business (running errands, going to the warehouse, picking up supplies, etc). We are not hiring any additional designers at this time, though we’d gladly consider someone with design experience for the retail spots we have open (or not, it’s certainly not a requirement).
In Rosemary Beach, we are looking for someone to work in our shop 20-24 hours a week–every Saturday and Sunday and one other day during the week.
In Mountain Brook, we are looking for someone to work in our shop around 16 hours a week–every Saturday and one full day or two partial days during the week.
Interested candidates should email us at firstname.lastname@example.org Please no phone calls, we’ll follow up with you upon receipt of your email. It’s an exciting time at Tracery with two vibrant shops and exciting design projects all over the country–we’re looking forward to adding some more great people to our team!
We are so excited about our first custom fabric! We are working on more prints for the line but wanted to let you all see our first pieces!!! The first fabric will be featured at the Showhouse for the Arts that opens June 15th-July 22nd in The Retreat in Blue Mountain Beach along 30A (about 5 miles west of Seaside and Watercolor). This fabric will be our draperies in our room. We think it is going to be really fun! So this afternoon we are all a little giddy….and having a little bit of fun…. we first started with this!
Mint Chocolate Chip!
Then we received the new fabric via UPS (I think we were on a little bit of a sugar high) and are so excited to show it to you!
Just out of the packaging!
Lizzy(our summer intern from Auburn....WDE!) and AK show off the new fabric!
Bess posing! (BTW... she really is dressed but we thought this was really funny... again maybe because of the sugar high)
We hope everyone has a great evening and a great weekend!
We wanted to share a few of our favorite photos from 2010. We hope you, your family, and your friends have a very happy 2011! Happy New Year!
