  1. To not overlook Alabama as a travel destination. We’re always leaving town — leaving the state, really — on the weekends, and this year I want to stick around more to take advantage of Alabama’s natural wonders like Little River Canyon and unique small towns like Fair Hope and Eufaula.

  4. My resolution for the New Year is to finish college. I am a 51 year old mother and grandmother. I have always wanted a college degree. I will hopefully graduate from Marymount University this coming year with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. Dreams can come true if you want them bad enough. I will do this in 2013!

  8. My resolution is to recognize the “idols” in my life, those things that take me farther away from God’s purpose for me. Hopefully this will make life less hectic and more God-centered. I also want to do lots of family things while my kids are at those ages where they still want their father and me around!

    • 1. To replace the crap TV shows that I watch with a wonderfully scripted show. As in, less Keeping Up With The Kardashians and more Homeland.
      2. Tell someone I love that I love them on a weekly basis. Via phone or in person. Not by text or email.
