Showhouse bookcases

The Library we designed at the Designer ShowHouse for the Arts in Seaside, this year, had three parts.  We showed you the seating area earlier here.  The bookcases connect the two ends of this long rectangular library.

We added the wallpaper from Romo at the back of the bookcases to add a bit of pattern and color.  We used books from the home and we bought a few at local thrift stores to fill the bookshelves.  We turned all the books around with the pages facing out.  Then we added fun accessories throughout the shelves.

The type face letters add a bit of whimsy to the library styled for Truman Capote and Harper Lee. (all letters available through our store for $14 each)

We added collected vintage green pottery throughout the shelves.

Above the bookcases we hung black and white canvas wrapped photos of dune lakes along Scenic Highway 30A, where Seaside is located.  We used art lights from Ikea to accent each of the photos.
