beach bath redo

A spa-like bath was our clients’ request:  Paige and Anna Kay looked at the current Master Bath in this Rosemary Beach home (we’ve shared other photos of the home here and here) and knew that all remnants of the old bath had to go.

[the before photos clearly show the age in which this bathroom was designed!]

Starting with neutral pebble flooring and Paige and Anna Kay built a palette around it of whites, wenge wood, and sky blue to create this serene environment.  Modern vanities and fixtures replaced the old built-in white cabinets with framed mirror.  The house had great trim details such as the picture moulding which remains as the line separating the  sky blue ceiling and crisp white walls.  The old tub and surround was removed and the new freestanding tub was placed in front of the window that looks out to the Gulf of Mexico.  The shelving was custom designed and installed to add storage and a focal point to the room.   The room is now the retreat that makes this a favorite place in the beach home.

  1. Great bathroom. It seems to ‘flow’ well. I have to say that I love the wall lights as I have just ordered some very similar ones. In the UK we have a very limited choice of wall lights for bathrooms as they have to have a special rating depending how likely it is that they will be splashed by water. Therefore they tend to look very functional and uninteresting.Seeing this similar style on the wall of your bathroom has made me feel very happy with my choice!
