At Tracery, we think that a Powder Bath is the perfect place to ‘take a chance’ and do something out of the box. If there is a funky color or wall covering that you have always been too scared to put in your home-try the Powder Room! That is exactly what Paige and Bess did in this small space in at home located at The Retreat along Scenic Highway 30A near our home base in Rosemary Beach. In this space, instead of wallcovering or bright colors, we opted instead for an antiqued mirror backsplash that covered the entire wall behind the sink. The floor to ceiling mirror makes for a beautiful statement when you first enter the small room, while also creating the effect of a larger space. The single oval window is trimmed in a stainless steel to mimic the finish of the mirror and the stainless faucet and hardware. Burnham’s Fine Cabinetry of Birmingham created the unique vanity along with the other cabinetry throughout the home. And to top it all off with a slight coastal nod, we selected a Capiz Shell tiered chandelier that gives the room a warm glow.
Where have you taken a chance in your home?
I think this little powder bath is gorgeous. Love the chandelier!!

Beautiful! I just love it.
Have I taken a chance in my home? What about the 1950’s clinique green tile in my hall bathroom? Oh, wait, I didn’t pick that out! 🙂

Gorgeous! We are about to take a chance with our fireplace… since it won’t be used in the spring we want to do something creative with it to still showcase it!
