Beautea Organic Soy Candles GIVE AWAY!

Hello friends, hope everyone had a great weekend!  Still cold at the beach and in Birmingham but we’re hoping for warmer weather soon.  This weekend is the inaugural 30A Songwriters Festival and we’re all looking forward to a great time.

To say thank you to all of you who read and comment and take part in our blog, we thought we’d do a give away this week.  Entering is easy, just visit our blog each day this week (today through Friday, January 15th).  Leave a comment related to whatever the day’s post is about and you’re automatically entered to win!  You can enter each day simply by commenting.  Comments must be pertinent to the post (no “pick me, pick me!”).  And only comments on this post through Friday’s post are eligible to win.  And we regret that we can’t ship internationally, so only US entries please (sorry, we love our international readers anyway!)  Make sure you provide your email address on the comment form (it never appears publically on the blog) so that we can get in touch with you.  If you’ve been reading for a while and have yet to say “hello” this is your chance to do so–and to win something!

So what’s the prize?  Three lucky commentors will be chosen at random to receive a Beautea Organic Soy Candle.

These all natural candles burn for 50 hours and come in White Darjeeling Tea+Jasmine Pearls (yellow), Green Oolong Tea+Exotic Blossom Orchid (blue), or Black Ceylon Pekoe Tea+Imperial Rose Petals (pink).  We’re giving away one of each.  These candles are sold in our shop at Rosemary Beach, so this a great chance for our far away readers to have a chance to have some Tracery in your home no matter where you are!

Okay, ready, set, comment!  Since this isn’t a particularly topical post, here’s something for you to comment on to get things started:

What’s your favorite kind of scent to burn at home?  Do you prefer floral scents, earthy, seasonal?  Do you have a favorite brand of candle?  Talk to us!

  1. I love soy. It seems to burn longer and cleaner than plain wax. As far as scents, I realized I’m very seasonal when it comes to choosing scents when I sprayed cinnamon (to cover up the smell of a doggie-mess) in the house yesterday. It just didn’t fit. I like light, crisp scents (fruits), and warm (vanilla, hazelnut) or spicy (clove, cinnamon) scents, but it all depends on the time of year and my mood!

  2. I personally look for clean, fresh scents — nothing too sickly sweet. My all time favorite soy candle is by Archipelago, and I love the Pomegranate Citrus fragrance.

  4. I’m currently in love with the scents from Nest & have been burning my way through a 13-votive sample set – bourbon leather masculine choices in the fall, “holiday” in december, clean & crisp linens are next for late winter & saving the florals for summer.

  5. What a fun post and who doesn’t enjoy a great scented candle! I find that I prefer floral and citrus scents for most of the year. During the winter, I like warm spicy evergreens. D.L. & Co. offers a number of beautiful scents, including a few great winter candles with their Modern Alchemy line. Hope you all are staying warm. Haven’t the freezing temperatures been wild?

  8. I have different scents for different rooms. I have earthy/spicy candles in the family room but lighter, floral candles in the bedroom and bathroom. My favorite kitchen candle was mango but I used it all up!

  11. This is a great idea for a giveaway. It is so smart that you have to leave a comment everyday… and you are offering something people actually want. I am doing a giveaway right now of some of my photography, and it is not going very well… obviously not something people really want 🙂 ha ha. I will have to take a lesson from you guys.

My favorite sent. I know this is not a popular choice, but I think my favorite sent is Gardenia. It reminds me of my garden, and that is important to me right now when I cant be in it everyday. I usually spend hours in it each day, so now that it’s so cold, I long for that escape. After Gardenia I think I would go with the frest linen scent. Since I photograph homes for a living. I very much appreciate it when those homes are crisp, clean, light and fresh. It makes much less work for me. I feel like fresh linen embodies those qualities, as well as the transitional design that in running rampant in interiors throughout Atlanta.

Thanks for a fun giveaway as well as a fresh topic! See you tomorrow.

I still love Seda, Votivo, and N. Morgan.

I would love to try soy.
When I had fragranced candles i loved flowers such as a tulip aroma.

I like vanilla, apple, cinnamon smells in my kitchen. More clean and crisp fragrances in other parts of my house. I love a fragrance called Gingered Peach — not too sweet, but it catches your attention, and then you go “AAH” 🙂

  16. I love these candles because they look like old fashioned tea canisters. Don’t they? Very cool. I’m not into candles that smell like cookies, pastries or vanilla. So I guess I like crisp, earthy smells. The wintery smells are my favorite… (anything to help this freezing weather seem more cozy!)

  17. I like clean fresh fragrances. I got a winner this CHRISTmas and had no idea. I purchased it from Bed Bath and Beyond. It is called Fresh Balsam by Slatkin and Co. I had so many compliments over the holidays. It was great. On another subject, I have just ventured into blogs and I cannot tell you how impressed I am with yours. When I win the lottery, Tracery Interiors will get a call from me!! I love the house at the Ridge at Lake Martin. It is absolutely breath taking. I am thrilled that I found your blog. Happy New Year.

  19. I typically like scents that have a little spice. One of my fav’s is Slatkin & co. Black Fig and Absinthe. Unfortunately it was discontinued, so I’m cherishing what’s left of my last two candles 😦

I also love a fragrance called Mississippi Kudzu. I’m a Mississippi girl so I like to share this fragrance with my guests as a little happy when they leave our home. 🙂

  22. I have fallen in love with Kobo’s currant flavored soy candles. My first purchase was the Christmas scent “Very Merry,” a red currant flavored holiday scent. I burn it while I’m cleaning or in advance of company arriving for a clean, crisp smell (instead of fireplace and doggies).

  25. As I was picking up the last of my Christmas decorations yesterday (I know, I’m behind), I kept avoiding putting away my Thymes Frasier Fir candle. That is the yummiest candle I’ve ever smelled! I’m a earthy scents kind of gal. I also don’t mind if my house smells like the beach or fruit (like my white grapefruit difuser).
Have so much fun at the 30A festival-I’m jealous!
