designer dogs

This past May we introduced you to the faces behind Tracery [here]. Now we would like to introduce the faces behind those faces….that we are lucky to come home to each day. These guys really call the shots around here and any dog owner would easily agree! Some of our furry friends even get shop time here in Rosemary Beach or occasionally escort a van load of furniture to an install. It is always so interesting to meet the dog behind the designer. They truly are a reflection upon each owners’ personality. And without further ado….

Meet Catfish, Bess’ 2-year-old Pug. Isn’t he dapper? Give him a ‘Good Boy Treat’ and he will be your friend for life. He also enjoys a good movie night with whomever will curl up with him on the sofa.

Meet Lucy, Paige’s 7-year-old Golden Retriever-Lab Mix. Lucy was a rescue dog when Paige & Mark brought her to the beach from a rescue facility in Lucedale, MS. Lucy lives for long walks or accompanying the occasional bike ride.

Meet Murphy, Anna Kay’s 8-year-old Shih Tzu. She makes a great effort to meet and great every shopper that walks through these doors, tail wagging & prepped for a good belly rub. Murphy has accompanied the Tracery crew to many installs-every van needs a good watch dog!

Meet Maggie, Blue & Maverick, Heather’s 3 Antebellum Bulldogs. The larger the dog-the bigger the heart! These big babies love a ride in the back of a pick-up to the dog park or a playful afternoon on the beach. Most days they can be found ‘sunning’ on the back porch.

  1. For a moment, I thought you were going to write about “design dogs” as in those mutts that have gotten names (maltipoo, puggle, etc.). But, what a treat to see all of the pups that help out your team. Thanks for sharing. I have to admit that when I find out that a designer or vendor is a “dog person”, I am more interested in working with them. Is that horrible?

Then again, I cried when I heard that Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams’ bulldog died. I’m a dog dork.

  2. Love it! Love it!! Love it!!!
Thanks for sharing. Now, take them to Starbucks and have them make your furry friends a “puppy latte”. No worries, its just the foam off the top of a latte – my dog Daisy is a huge fan. ha!
    Cheers!

  3. Everyone may not know this…but Catfish is actually a hunting dog…everytime he comes to visit his GiGi…he can hang with the bird dogs, labs, etc. He is also adored, but that goes without saying. We’re so proud to see him on this blog.

  4. Awwww, love all of these sweet faces!!!

I agree, there’s a lot to be said about the owner and what type of dog they choose. Reminds me of one of my favorite movies: Best in Show.
