rectangular sinks

When it comes to bathroom lavatories, we are definitely not round sink people.  Oval is okay, but we think rectangular is where it’s really at.  Rectangular sinks always look crisp and tailored and when undermounted (we aren’t big on sinks that ‘lip’ over countertops either), they really draw attention to stone countertops and make a very sharp impression.

These wonderful rectangular sinks by Marzi (through Kenny & Co.) were just installed–literally today–in a house we’re working on in Mountain Brook, Alabama.  We’re pairing them with some beautiful faucets from Waterworks (coming soon).

These sinks fit into an entire wall of cabinetry we’ve designed that will make this Master Bathroom a luxurious retreat.  The towers on either side of the vanity will be outfitted with antiqued mirrored glass behind the ‘X’ pattern grills on the doors.  Mirrors will also be installed (clear in this spot, so you can see yourself) below the leaded glass windows–which were hand-built in a Birmingham workshop with authentic blown glass imported from Germany.  We’re even having a television installed behind two way mirror in the center panel, so the homeowners can catch up on the morning news while getting ready.  This bathroom is going to be absolutely stunning when complete–check back for more pictures soon!
