Lake Chic

Speaking of Lake Martin…here are some photos from a project we are about six weeks away from completing.  It’s a private residence located at The Ridge, not too far down the road from Russell Crossroads and The Springhouse.

We think this beautiful home is going to be the epitome of chic and stylish lake living when completed.  As good as it looks empty, just wait until you see it full of the wonderful pieces we’ve been collecting over the past couple of years for it!

The interior architecture of this home is all about the contrast between crisp painted planking, wonderfully textured old reclaimed wood and natural sandstone.  We especially love the fact that there’s no sheetrock anywhere in the house–just wood everywhere!  The antique oak floors have been treated with a distinctive grey wash which is going to really make the rugs and furniture stand out when they are installed. 

 

The dramatic mantlepiece and all the other cabinetry in the home is by Burnham’s Fine Cabinetry of Birmingham.

The giant iron sphere fixtures are a Tracery favorite.

 

In one of the children’s bathrooms, an iron chandelier dressed up with pink bobeches stands out against a white Cararra marble tub surround.

 

We found this wonderful blue-grey chandelier at Les Trois Marches in Mountain Brook and had the iron bracket custom fabricated to hold it.  The dining room table will eventually be situated in this area.  Custom designed laser cut steel panels, designed in collaboration with one of our sister companies, The G Brand, will make up the railing above.
