Tropical Storm Ida is rearing her ugly head here on the Gulf Coast. It’s always fascinating to watch the ocean go through such a natural and explosive transition during these stormy days. Last week the water was still and serene, like a lake. Today Mother Nature is reminding us who’s boss. We are all preparing to hunker down as Ida passes through. Below is an image Bess got Monday around 1pm before things got too nasty to be out & about. Please keep our area in your thoughts in hopes that we do not sustain much damage.

Hope it passes without event but I do have to say that it looks like a typical English summer beach scene!!! Don’t ever holiday here without a wind break and a flask of hot coffee.
